Honeycomb

 

This project is about to design the Serpentine Gallery Pavilion in year 2025. Use the previous pavilions as reference and design the one base on human activities and movement. And the pavilion should be accommodate human activities.​

 

There are only one group of form with 30 different size transit. And each group repeat 3 times. That means. there are 90 layers. Apart from this, there are 89 fit size hexagon between the layers. Therefore, it totally has 179 layers.

 

The form of the pavilion is group by 8 hexagons and fot in 10cm x 5 cm box. In this model, there are only 2 negative spaces, which means there are onlt 2 entrances for people to pass by.

 

This is the deck of the pavilion. Also, it is in hexagon form, with many negative hexagons form around it. It creates a step with the bottom acrylic sheet, for people take a rest and walk along.
